Description
Most clutch upgrades ask you to trade something away — hold more power, live with a heavy lever. The G3 Carbonite pack was developed against a list of objectives that refused that tradeoff: hold big torque and horsepower, last, pull easy at the lever, find neutral without hunting for it, and give a better friction zone than the alternatives.
It gets there with more material and better material. The pack runs 11 Carbonite friction discs and 10 steel plates — more of both than stock — so there's simply more surface doing the work. The carbon friction material handles the load, and the Kolene coating on the steel plates does double duty: it improves lubricity and wear resistance, and it pulls a considerable amount of heat out of the clutch. Heat is what kills clutches, so that last part matters more than it sounds.
What it holds:
- Over 160 ft-lbs of torque on stock clutch springs — with the same lever pull you have now
- Up to 175 ft-lbs with the kit's springs — lever pull stays very reasonable
- Well over 200 HP / 200 ft-lbs when paired with the optional AIM SDR lockup
Springs are included, so you can set it up either way depending on what your build needs.
